Bull, bear or crash , let the dull and boring SIP continue. SIP or Systematic Investment Plan is a method of investing in Mutual Funds which has benefits of averaging your investments. Its monotonous and boring as we don’t have to do anything once the Scheme is chosen and ECS is set. But, the major gain in this is you accumulate your favourable MF scheme irrespective of the market condition. You get more units if market is down and your NAV of investments goes up when market goes up. Though this doesn’t provide great returns in the Short term but in the long term say 7 to 10 years or more you tend to benefit from Power of Compounding.
